I assumed his announcement meant we would no longer indulge in our usual activities. After a year had gone by, at which time he
was supposedly in love with her, he asked me to come up to his house—he was sick, I had nothing to do. Stupid decision—we
ended up in bed. He felt guilty about it, because he’d never cheated on his girlfriend in that way. I felt bad for him.
We both swore it would never ever happen again. Since that time, two years have gone by and we’ve had two sexual encounters.
He says he can’t resist me. He actively tries to avoid me. Futile attempts on his part, because it only takes him a few minutes
around me, before he’s asking where we can sneak off to.
The next unavailable guy was a mentor-of-sorts to me. I met him at a business convention, and we had a conversation about our
goals, dreams, and ambitions. He took me under his wing, giving me advice on what to do, steps to take, people to talk to. He was
nothing more than a man who was trying to help a young lady out. It was at subsequent meetings that I started to get an inkling of
his attraction to me. I found out he was married with children through a mutual friend, and I just knew I would not allow anything
romantic to happen between us. He asked me to help him with a social event one year, and as soon as I arrived at the hotel, he
pretended that he wanted to show me one of the rooms being used and kissed me when we got there. I was in shock! I said to him
‘What are you doing? You’re married!" I made him feel bad about it enough to let me go that instant. But there were more than
enough stolen kisses and groping during that convention. I met his wife the following year…nice lady, I guess. I don’t know if she
has any idea that once her back was turned, he started up with me again….
Unavailable guy number three takes the cake. We spent almost a year in a pseudo-relationship. When I met him, he was a regular
single guy ... unattached. He relentlessly pursued me, begging me to call him while he was away on vacation.
